The most decadent pumpkin brownies with a chewy brownie texture. A truly delicious fall treat for all to enjoy!
If I am being completely honest with you, I don't LOVE pumpkin everything. I am very specific about what pumpkin items I like. Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Brownies? They don't apply to that statement.
I think the main reason has to do with the spices associated with pumpkin desserts.
The reason I am starting with this blurb is so I can convey that these brownies are neither fluffy nor offensive in pumpkin taste. They. Are. Excellent.
What do these pumpkin brownies taste like?
Heaven. A perfect blend of pumpkin, cinnamon, and chocolate chips coming together to mimic the classic brownie! Not only will you love this recipe, so will your family, co-workers, and neighbors. I speak from experience!!

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
- Sift all of the dry ingredients together in a bowl, set aside.
- Beat eggs, butter, sugar, pumpkin puree, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add 1 C. of your chocolate chips and mix well.
- Pour batter into greased jelly roll pan, smoothing it out.
- Take the remaining 1/2 C. chocolate chips and spread them over the top of the batter. Lightly push them into the batter so they aren't sitting on top.
- Bake in a pre-heated 350 degree Fahrenheit oven for 25 minutes. The brownies are done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If your brownies are not done at 25 minutes, check them with a toothpick every 2 minutes until done.
- When cooked, place on a wire cooling rack and allow brownies to cool completely before serving.
- Makes 24 bars or more if you cut them smaller ๐
How do you know when the brownies are done?
Watch them closely when you get to the 25 minute mark of coooking. Do the toothpick inserted into the center trick. Once it comes out clean, they're done!
A nice golden brown around the edges is a good sign they are done too!
- Do not undercook! The texture will resemble pumpkin pie if not cooked properly.
- Use a plastic knife to cut the brownies once cooled. I know it sounds crazy but it did an absolutely beautiful job and made the cleanest lines!
- Freeze any leftover pumpkin in a freezer-safe bag or container so you can enjoy these brownies throughout the year!
