Simply Amazing Gooey Pecan Pie

Let's start off by saying you ARE going to hate me for sharing this Simply Amazing Gooey Pecan Pie recipe! It's the best pie that you'll ever try and will quickly become a fan favorite. My husband doesn't like pecan pie but somehow manages to polish off the last piece every single time. It's the easiest pecan pie to make and is so delicious!

I use to sneak my Grandpa Arave over a piece the night before Thanksgiving! I always thought I was so sneaky helping him get his sugar fix. We hope you enjoy this recipe as much as our family does.

Step-by-Step

Gather supplies. You'll need sugar, eggs, corn syrup, melted butter, and a 9" unbaked pie crust.

  • Add sugar, eggs, corn syrup, and melted butter to a bowl.
  • Mix with a whisk until combined.
  •   Make or buy a pie crust. This is our Grandma Arave's pie crust recipe and it's the best!
  • Spread your chopped pecans in your uncooked pie shell.
  • Give your filling a quick stir with your whisk.
  • Pour filling over pecans.
  • Gently stir your pecans and filling.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes or until knife comes out clean.
  • Enjoy!
Expert Tips
  • You can cover the edges of your pie with aluminum foil or a pie ring if you'd prefer a lighter crust. If you do this then cover for the first 30 minutes then uncover for the last 20 minutes.
  • You can use pecan halves if you'd like but the chopped pecan is our preference.
  • Our favorite whisk linked below is a must in the kitchen!
  • DO NOT poke holes in pie crust. Only poke holes on a crust you are filling with a filling that doesn't need to be baked!
