Step-by-Step for the Perfect Pie

  • Start by gathering supplies. You'll need a pie crust, cream cheese, powdered sugar, heavy cream, and almond extract.
  • Soften cream cheese in the microwave for 30 seconds. Add cream cheese and powdered sugar to mixer and whip until completely smooth.
  • Once smooth add whipping cream and almond extract.
  • Whip then scrape sides and bottom of bowl.
  • Finish whipping until cream has whipped enough that the cream cheese mixture is thicker.
  • Pour cream cheese filling into a baked and cooled pie crust.
  • Make the best homemade blueberry pie filling known to man.
  • Once the blueberry filling has completely cooled top your pie.
  • Place in refrigerator for a few hours to fully setup.
  • ENJOY!!!
Expert Tips
  • We don't recommend this....but if in a bind you can use a precooked pie crust and canned blueberry filling.
  • To save on time you can make the cream cheese filling ad blueberry filling ahead of time and refrigerate it.
  • Grandma has been known to make 70 pie crusts that make their way to the freezer uncooked for a last minute dessert.
  • Microwaving the cream cheese or getting it to room temperature will help eliminate cream cheese chunks.
