If you're looking for a tear free way to get rid of all that halloween candy, try out the snitch witch!
I need to clarify something before you read any further. I've never been that mom that doesn't let her kids have treats.
I don't think there's anything wrong with a bowl of sugar cereal for breakfast, and when we visit my family in Idaho, I secretly love when my kiddos sneak up to my parents room for a cookie when they are suppose to be "asleep"!
I don't think there's anything wrong with people who have a no sugar/no sweets policy, but I'd honestly rather poke my eye out then not have sugar.
With that being said I'm not super fond of the tears and craziness that ensue after one of the greatest holidays OF. ALL. TIME.
So last year the "Snitch Witch" was born. She's a friendly little witch, not a scary one. She leaves a little note for the boys and a little something fun for them...and in return takes their obscene amounts of candy and disposes of it (aka Rex eats it.)
The boys are able to eat as much candy as their little bodies can consume the night of Halloween (which isn't a ton considering we trick-or-treat late). Then, the next morning they wake up to a note and a little gift (in our case, their books.)
Hank randomly throughout the past year would talk about how silly the snitch witch was and how much he loves his book she left. There were no tears when the candy suddenly disappeared, and there's fun memories to boot!
If you're looking for a peaceful way to get rid of the Halloween candy, give "Snitch Witch" a try! Comment below with the things your family does! We'd love to hear from you!!!
