I have recently begun putting my oils in roller bottles....it is life changing!!
My oils are so much more convenient to use now that they are in roller bottles! I also don't waste as much oil so that is a huge plus. I have 4 roller bottles that I use a ton. One is for mental focus (who doesn't need that???), headache relief, respiratory blend, and digestion issues. You will add the essential oils to the vial, and then top the rest of it off with a carrier oil. We use almond oil.
Mental Focus Blend: I found this recipe on the back of my eucalyptus oil bottle. It smells heavenly! 15 drops of peppermint and 15 drops of eucalyptus. Roll on feet, behind ears, or inhale near nose.
This oil deserves a separate post because its so amazing! Scout would go 3-4 days without a bowel movement. She would scream in pain. My sister Abbie recommended this oil. I rub it on her feet and abdomen once a day. She now has regular bowel movements. I highly recommend this oil for anyone with digestion related issues. 25 drops of Inside out, and fill the rest with almond oil.
This blend also deserves its very own post. I got this recipe from a breathe blend that I love. I ran out and looked at the ingredients on the back to make my own version. Ollie is prone to getting respiratory infections because of his heart condition. When he gets a cough, he has it for months!! If I am faithful about applying this breathe blend to his chest and feet, and diffusing it in his room, he can get rid of a cough in a few weeks. It works miracles for him. I do 5 drops lavender, 10 eucalyptus, 10 tea tree, 5 basil, and then fill the rest of the bottle with almond oil.
My favorite oils for headaches are peppermint and lavender. Rub this on your forehead, behind your ears, and with caution on your temples. I say with caution because the peppermint oil can irritate your eyes if it gets too close! Add 15 drops peppermint and 15 drops lavender, then fill the rest of the way with almond oil.
Keep in mind that these recipes work for me and my family. Each person can respond differently to essential oils. Customize the ratios to your own personal preference.
Roller bottle blends make cute gifts as well! Make a little rice pack to heat up, add a headache blend roller bottle, and you've got yourself such a fun gift to give someone!
