These au gratin potatoes are easy to throw together and so delicious! Creamy, cheesy, and garlic-y!!!

Listen, I take my food very seriously and I'm here to tell you that these are the best Au Gratin Potatoes that will pass through your lips! Cheese and Cream.....do I need to say anything more!?
My favorite steakhouse to date is Ruth's Chris, and I've had some good steaks! The Au Gratin Potatoes are a must try, and this "at home version" is spot on!!

Ruth's Chris Au Gratin Potatoes
3-4 medium russet potatoes, washed and quartered
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 milk
1 1/2 Tbsp flour
1 garlic clove, pressed
1/4 tsp salt (I use 1/2 tsp)
1/8 tsp pepper
1 Tbsp butter, softened
1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Wash potatoes, and slice them 1/4 inch thick. Next quarter each slice. Coat your 8x8 or 8x10 baking dish with the softened butter. Arrange the potatoes on the baking dish so they are evenly spread out. Beat together cream, milk, flour, salt, pepper, and garlic with a whisk until combined. Pour the cream mixture over the potatoes. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Uncover, and bake another 40 minutes or until potatoes are starting to brown on top. Sprinkle grated cheese over the top of the potatoes and continue to bake for 5-10 minutes.....Or until the cheese is melted and is slightly browned, and the potatoes are tender. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.
