Marshmallow Popcorn

January 20, 2016 by Sadie Leave a Comment

This popcorn is so ooey gooey and delicious. We use our caramel popcorn recipe but add in marshmallows at the end. It is the yummiest treat!
Melt in your mouth marshmallow caramel popcorn is the perfect holiday sweet treat!

Marshmallow Popcorn1 cube REAL butter
2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
1 cup corn syrup
a pinch of salt
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 bag of marshmallows
1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions: Melt butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Add condensed milk, you have to stir constantly or the condensed milk with scorch. Move quickly across the bottom of your saucepan and never lift that spoon! You'll want to get the caramel to about 130 degrees (use a candy thermometer) I don't use a thermometer I just eyeball it. The caramel should be a thick syrup consistency and a pretty medium color and you'll know it’s done! Take off heat. Add vanilla and marshmallows and stir till combined. Pour over your popcorn and enjoy! This recipe makes approximately 3 cups of sauce. Pop popcorn accordingly. We like ours pretty gooey so we use less popcorn. I typically fills my largest bowl to the top with popped popcorn.

**Note--a Whirly Pop popcorn machine makes the best home popped popcorn!

Sort by holding handfuls of popcorn with spread fingers so the old maids fall back into the bowl. Put the sorted popcorn in another bowl. Keep doing this until you have desired amount of popcorn.
