1-800-CONTACTS FREE ONLINE VISION TEST..DOES IT WORK? 

 
I was almost out of contacts and wanted to stay in the comfort of my own home to order them. Is that really too much to ask? After a bit of "googling", I came across the 1-800contacts.com free vision test. To say that I was intrigued is an understatement.Since it was FREE, I had nothing to lose. I gave it a go. 1-800-CONTACTS FREE ONLINE VISION TEST..DOES IT WORK? What does it entail? 

You'll need your smart phone and a computer. You are guided through the whole process and you can go at your own pace. You are instructed to walked a certain number of steps away from the computer. Once in position, you being the test. The test is all done on the computer, and you use your phone as a "remote" to select your answers.

My test took me 10 minutes. It was fast and painless. When I was finished, I was told I'd have my new prescription within 24 hours.
About 6 hours later I got an email that a doctor had looked over the test and my new prescription was waiting for me in my account.
I clicked over to the 1-800-contacts website and placed my order. I had my box of contacts 5 days later.
 
Was I happy with the vision test and contact ordering process? YESWould I do the vision test from home again? YES

Would I take the test from home even if it wasn't free? YES

    Can you use the prescription somewhere else?

      Great question! I am not sure on the answer as we have only used it on 1-800 contacts. Sorry I am not much help!
