Raspberry Dessert

August 1, 2016 by Sadie 2 Comments

Our family has been making this for years. Your family might have a similar rendition to this as well! We use either raspberries or peaches, depending on which fruit is in season. It is such an easy dessert to make and SOOOOO good!!!!

We should have had our brother write this post because he is a self proclaimed raspberry dessert genius.

Ingredients
Crust:18 Graham Crackers, smashed into crumbs
1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
1/4 Cup Butter, melted

Filling:
1/2 Cup Milk
1/2 Pound Marshmallows
1 Cup Heavy Cream, whipped
2 Cups Fresh Fruit (raspberries or peaches)

Instructions for crust: Add graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter to a bowl. Mix and press into the bottom of a 9x13 pan (save a few graham cracker crumbs to garnish the top).

Instructions for filling: Melt marshmallows with milk in the microwave. This process won't take long. Cook at 30 second increments, stopping to stir the mixture. Do this until the marshamallows have melted. A few lumps in the liquid is just fine! Set this aside so it can cool to room temperature. Once cooled, add your fresh fruit and whipped cream. Fold the filling gently and pour it over the graham cracker crust. Put the dessert in your refrigerator until it has set (several hours). When ready to serve, garnish with the fresh fruit and graham cracker crumbs if desired.

Appreciate this recipe. My late MIL made this (or a version of it) but I never got her recipe. It’s setting up now for my husband and will share with my FIL as well. It’ll be sure to come with memories of our loved one.

      Holly,

I am so glad that you were able to find this recipe! I hope you love it as much as we do! Peaches are great in it this time of year FYI! -Sadie
