Fruit Pizza

May 17, 2016 by Sadie Leave a Comment

Man we love fruit pizza so much. Too much probably. If you've never had fruit pizza before, allow me to tell you a little bit about it. A thick sugar cookie crust, smooth cream cheese topping, and fresh fruit on top of that. Seriously so good...no words!

Before we share the recipe we use, we need to disclose something. We are absolutely homemade sugar cookie or die. Store bought cookie dough to us is sinful....HOWEVER.....store bought sugar cookie dough is acceptable for fruit pizza. This will be the one and only time we ever recommend buying store bought cookies!
Fruit Pizza
Roll of sugar cookie dough or packet that you add eggs and butter to
1 8 oz. brick of cream cheese
1/2 C. powdered sugar
1 small container of cool whip
Press cookie dough onto a parchment paper lined cookie sheet.  Cook cookie dough according to directions on package. With an electric mixer incorporate cream cheese and powdered sugar together. Once there are no lumps, Fold in cool whip.  Frost cooled crust with cream cheese mixture and top with chopped fruit! Refrigerate and serve cold!
Line your cookie sheet pan with parchment paper (this will make serving much easier! If you use a roll of sugar cookie dough, break it into small pieces and press it out on the pan. I dab my fingers in flour so the dough won't stick to my fingers. If you use a sugar cookie packet, mix according to directions and press out on parchment lined pan. Bake according to directions on packet. Ours was 350 degrees for 12 minutes.

When Cookie crust is completely cooled, frost with cream cheese mixture and top with chopped fruit! Refrigerate and serve cold!

As far as fruit for the top, here is a list of fruit we've used before. Really anything goes and you can get creative;
strawberries
raspberries
pineapple
apples
oranges
blueberries
kiwis

Enjoy!
