Grandma's Lemon Bars
Grandma Arave's lemon bars are a classic, easy to make dessert complete with a flaky crust you are sure to love.

Crust
- 3/4 Cup Butter Cold
- 1/3 Cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour
Filling
- 3 Large Eggs
- 4 tbsp All-Purpose Flour
- 1 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed if possible
- Pinch of salt
Crust
Using your fork, press and mix 3/4 C. cold butter into 1/3 C. powdered sugar and 1 1/2 C. all-purpose flour.
Mix until you have a dough, then press it into the bottom of a greased 9x13 pan.
Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
Filling
Whisk 3 large eggs, 4 Tablespoons all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 C. granulated sugar, and 1/2 C. lemon juice (if possible, use freshly squeezed lemon juice), and pinch of salt.
Once mixed well, pour filling over hot crust and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Remove from oven and sprinkle powdered sugar over the lemon bars while it is still hot.
Once bars have cooled completely, but into squares.
Use freshly squeezed lemon juice if you have it.
Allow lemon bars to cool completely before eating.
Can be made the day before--store properly in an airtight container until serving.
